As an Aboriginal Health Worker, you will provide culturally appropriate health care for the Aboriginal community which is consistent with a primary health care philosophy. Your key responsibilities will include: Assist in the identification of Aboriginal Health needs and development of appropriate programs. Promote and demonstrate effective communication with client/family/community, as a member of the Child & Adolescent Community Health – Aboriginal Health Team. Provide appropriate health promotion activities through individual and/or group participation. Work with other members of the health team to ensure access to appropriate disease control services. Maintain appropriate, legible records and ensure security and confidentiality of client information.
