VCID No. 946891 Position Profile and Role: We are seeking suitably experienced and passionate persons to join our Aboriginal Health Team. As an Aboriginal Health Worker, you will provide culturally appropriate health care for the Aboriginal community which is consistent with a primary health care philosophy. Your key responsibilities will include: Assist in the identification of Aboriginal Health needs and development of appropriate programs. Promote and demonstrate effective communication with client/family/community, as a member of the Child & Adolescent Community Health – Aboriginal Health Team. Provide appropriate health promotion activities through individual and/or group participation. Work with other members of the health team to ensure access to appropriate disease control services. Maintain appropriate, legible records and ensure security and confidentiality of client information.
