JOB SUMMARYPerforms complex inspection procedures on all types of products and assemblies to ensure quality levels are met at different stages of the production process.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms a visual inspection of assemblies and subsets of pre-shipment and/or finished production to ensure compliance with quality standards.Check the correct machine configuration before running assemblies.Select and read the appropriate documentation for a wide range of reference materialsSelects the inspection method (such as first item checks, sampling, or 100% inspection).Applies knowledge of process principles and interpretation of the Company Quality Control Standards to determine whether the part or assembly inspected passes/fails.Access customer quality inspection systems through a computer, communicate with the customer regarding inspection and quality issues, and perform post-package audits and inspections in the process of direct compliance.Determines the cause and effect of defects and refers the findings to the manufacturing facilitators for correction. Review and approve solutions or forward unacceptable responses to the Quality Supervisor to take additional action.Acts as a final checkpoint for finished products before being sent to the customer or end user.Train other employees in quality control processes and procedures.Ensures that parts conform to customer quality standards. Move parts to the workstation for inspection as needed.Provide support to all Safety, Health and Environment (EHS) programs and initiatives in order to support our zero accident culture.JOB QUALIFICATIONSKNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSYou have developed role experience, typically through a combination of work-related training and extensive work experience.Ingeniously complete the task using specialized skills.Works on non-routine tasks.Determines methods and procedures in newly introduced tasks.You can be an informal team leader.Ability to present information effectively and answer questions from groups of managers, customers, customers and the general public.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Ability to operate a personal computer, including the use of a Windows-based operating system and related software.Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid. Ability to apply common sense understanding to perform simple one- or two-step instructions.Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional variables or no variables.Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence and notes.Ability to calculate rate, ratio and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's diploma or its equivalent. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.1-year experience in a relevant production position or bachelor's degree in relevant areas.Advanced PC skills and training and experience in applicable software packages.
