Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Inventory Control and Warehouse Operations Intern through March 5th at 23:59. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Receive materials in the warehouse Materials control: Inventory / Direct Charge / Project surplus Coordinate equipment, developing and reviewing load plans and manifest movements, and manage the closing processes for all purchase orders Assist in supplier selection, provide timely feedback to customers and buyers, and negotiate delivery improvements with suppliers as needed Resolve tactical scheduling issues and provide two-way feedback between the carrier and customers to optimize operations Act as a key interface between the Logistics teams and end users to resolve issues, improve understanding, and identify and implement optimization opportunities Ensure the integrity of the ERP Tracking module data and manage the interface with other systems Conduct continuous evaluation of supplier performance and keep key performance indicators related to purchasing performance updated Maintain a close relationship with the carrier, customs agents, and inspection agents, and coordinate all shipping logistics among these entities, applying knowledge of local, regional, and international transportation markets Required Qualifications: Students from the following careers: Business Administration, Accounting or Industrial Engineering. English as a second language. Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point).
