A service engineer at Valmet works with products that has the reputation of being the market leader, and having the most advanced product portfolio for pulp and paper automation.
Valmet IQ Machine vision (web inspection/monitoring systems) helps detect quality defects and identify their root causes. In this job you are one of our customers' important contacts, and you will handle service cases from the very beginning until the case is closed with a satisfied customer. During all phases of the case you are supported by technical experts.
We are looking for a technically oriented, communicative person willing to cooperate within the Scandinavian team.
Position
Service Engineer, Machine Vision
Customer satisfaction and relations
Organize, execute, and report your own service visits
Predictive maintenance, tuning of the systems, classification of defects etc.
Participate in new delivery projects, system extensions and upgrade projects
Remote support from the office
Collaborative work with the Product Line in Tampere, Finland, and the global Operations Network
The position is based in Karlstad, but Gothenburg, Sundsvall or Stockholm could also be possible locations, depending on where you live.
Qualifications
Relevant engineering degree
Experience from machine vision systems is an advantage
Significant part of the career in Pulp & Paper industry (process skills)
Self-starter, open for collaboration with colleagues and customers
Ability to act and make decisions
Organized, with an ability to prioritize whilst multi-tasking
Fluent in English and Swedish
Driving license class B and willingness to travel within Scandinavia
